Nokia announced its new Android based smartphones at Mobile World Congress last month. The Nokia X series smartphones come with a highly customized version of the Android Operating System with lots of limitations. The company doesn’t allow its users to install Play Store and other Google services in this smartphone.
But thankfully there is a way to change that. With this tutorial you can easily root your Nokia X Smartphone, install Google Play Store an the newly released Google Now Launcher. Thanks to XDA Developers senior member Kashamalaga for sharing this trick. Just follow the steps carefully.

Follow the steps:-

  • Install the downloaded Framaroot APK file on your Nokia X smartphone.
  • Open the Framaroot and follow the on-screen steps to root yoursmartphone.
  • Sideload a root file explorer on your Nokia X smartphone.
  • Now you have to extract the contents of the downloaded NokiaX GApps ZIP file and copy all the APK files to the /system/app directory on your Nokia X.
  • Set the permissions for the APKs to “read” for all and “write” for just the first one from top, as per the screenshot below.
  • Reboot and install the APK files as you do.
